Writing a book can be a very tedious job, unless you are really enjoying it.
And you can only enjoy writing a book if the subject is close to you and your heart. That is precisely what I have done this time. Following my first book - The Bygone Library, which was mainly an adventure thriller novel, I have written my first ever crime-fiction detective novel - The First Year Fiasco.
When I say crime-fiction or detective novel, what is the first thing that comes in your mind?
Obviously Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Pierot, Miss Marple or people like Byomkesh Bakshi, Feluda and some others.
I am sure like me, you all have grown up reading the stories of these people. While all of them are great detectives no doubt, there was one thing common in all of them. Everyone have matured through age and time.
Now, what if along with detective, crimes and murders there is an essence of friendship, college life, engineering hostel and everything related to that.
Imagine a suburb engineering college with an aura of mystery around it. And the students are in the middle of it all.
Now punch it with group of friends enjoying life in hostel and people gets missing in the middle of the night.
My novel has all these and much more for the readers who like crime-fiction and mystery.
Stay tuned for more updates, as I progress more on the book.
I will like to hear from the readers on what they have to say on this as well.
